The Arts Club was founded in 1863 for people with a tie to the arts, literature or the sciences; Dickens, Whistler and Rodin were members. Today it fills a Dover Street townhouse with a brasserie, a Japanese restaurant, a members' lounge, a cigar room and Leo's, a late bar with live music, plus a hotel upstairs and an art collection that changes.
Lanserhof at The Arts Club is the health side and the reason to look here: the only Lanserhof in the UK, a private clinic before it is a gym. Doctors, MRI, cardiology and orthopaedics; performance testing that sets the training; IV infusions, cryotherapy and the LIFE fasting programmes of seven to twenty-one days. Members of the clinic have their own lounge with a light menu. It neighbours the club and is joined separately.
